IP Automation introduces the latest in railroad maintenance machinery.

IP Automation is excited to debut our newest development in railroad maintenance tools: the Hydra. This revolutionary machine allows the operator to simply change heads when the need arises to install, remove or stage different types of clips.

Inspired by the multi–headed mythological creature of the same name, the Hydra negates the need to purchase a separate machine for each type of clip.

In addition to its interchangeable head capability along with a rail anchor tool option, the Hydra’s user–friendly design gives the railroad maintenance and construction crews operational control options: direct manual, joystick or by a wireless remote control device. Most importantly, the machine is self-propelled and comes with an on-board hydraulic power supply.
