IP Automation introduces the latest in railroad maintenance machinery.

IP Automation is excited to debut our newest development in railroad maintenance tools: the Hydra. This revolutionary machine allows the operator to simply change heads when the need arises to install, remove or stage different types of clips.

Inspired by the multi–headed mythological creature of the same name, the Hydra negates the need to purchase a separate machine for each type of clip.

In addition to its interchangeable head capability along with a rail anchor tool option, the Hydra’s user–friendly design gives the railroad maintenance and construction crews operational control options: direct manual, joystick or by a wireless remote control device. Most importantly, the machine is self-propelled and comes with an on-board hydraulic power supply.

U.S. Senator Michael Bennet Visits IP Automation

U.S. Senator Michael Bennet met company founder Ilia Petkov and other IP Automation executives along with others individuals from the manufacturing industry sector to discuss concerns regarding transportation issues along the Interstate I-25 corridor between Denver and Colorado Springs. The lack of completion of widening a portion of the corridor was brought to his attention as it relates to manufacturers experiencing frustrating and costly delays in conducting business in the Denver area due to the resulting congestion. Senator Bennet is aware of this problem and went on to give the latest information as to the status of completing this project. The picture shows Senator Bennet being shown IP Automation’s latest automated, multi-head clipper machine for Safelok I & III, E- Clip and other clips for the railroad industry.

Engineering firm IP Automation contributes to Colorado manufacturing.

Ken Krassy’s article “Manufacturers take advantage of many industry opportunities” highlights manufacturing and engineering firms’ crucial role in Colorado’s economy. Director of business development with IP Automation Inc., Krassy wrote an article regarding a local manufacturing firm which appears in the Colorado Springs Business Journal’s August 25 edition.

The article relates how Colorado Springs’ manufacturers promote manufacturing capabilities and success stories to grow businesses and create jobs.

Designed for one of our major railroad customers, our tie drilling and spiking station quickly and safely drills holes in railroad crossties. The automatic machinery includes a vacuum system functional with various wood tie lengths.

IP Automation designs railroad equipment to meet the high demand for efficient production. Our engineering team designed, manufactured and installed the wood tie drilling equipment within five months.

Present United States railroad industry standards average 3,249 ties per mile, or approximately 700,000,000 ties throughout the country. Regardless of developmental specifications, the IP Automation drilling and spiking system efficiently produces wood ties ready for railroad industry use.
